Immigration Document Translation for Every USCIS Filing

USCIS requires certified translations of all foreign-language documents submitted with immigration applications. BeTranslated provides USCIS-compliant translations of birth certificates, marriage records, police clearances, court documents, diplomas, and financial records across 50+ languages.

USCIS-Compliant Certified Translation

One Agency for All Your Immigration Translation Needs

An immigration case can require translations of dozens of documents across multiple categories: vital records, court and police records, academic credentials, financial statements, military service records, and country condition evidence. Each document type carries its own formatting conventions and official terminology, and every translation must meet USCIS requirements: a complete English rendering accompanied by a signed Certificate of Accuracy from a competent translator. Using a single agency for all your case documents ensures consistency in terminology, faster processing, and a single point of contact for any follow-up requests from your attorney or USCIS officer.

BeTranslated handles the full range of immigration document types for green card applications, naturalization petitions, asylum claims, spousal and family visa filings, DACA renewals, TPS applications, and immigrant investor petitions. We work with immigration attorneys, BIA-accredited representatives, and applicants filing pro se. Every translation includes a Certificate of Accuracy and is reviewed before delivery. Expedited turnaround is available for applications with imminent deadlines.

Common Questions

Immigration Document Translation: Frequently Asked Questions

USCIS requires that every foreign-language document submitted with an immigration application be accompanied by a complete English translation and a Certificate of Accuracy. The certificate must be signed by a competent translator who attests that they are fluent in both the source and target languages and that the translation is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge. The applicant and their immediate family members cannot certify their own translations. All BeTranslated translations include this certificate as standard.

USCIS does not require notarization of immigration translations. A Certificate of Accuracy from a professional translation agency is sufficient. Notarization is a separate authentication step that some state courts and foreign authorities require, but it is not part of the USCIS certification requirement. If your attorney or a specific form instruction specifies notarization, we can arrange it as an add-on service.

Turnaround depends on the number and complexity of documents in your case. A single vital record such as a birth or marriage certificate is typically delivered within 24 hours. A full case package containing 10 to 20 documents is usually completed within 3 to 5 business days. Expedited processing is available for urgent filings. Contact us with your document list and filing deadline and we will confirm a timeline.
