Google personalizes search results by country. Rankings on Google.com (which defaults to a US perspective) do not reflect what users in France, Germany, or Japan actually see when they search. A page that ranks on page one on Google.com may be on page three of Google.fr. Accurate international rank tracking requires tracking keywords in each country's Google instance separately, using the correct location and language settings in your rank tracking tool.
GA4 does not automatically segment traffic by language version of a page. For multilingual sites, we configure custom dimensions to capture the locale (language and country) of each pageview, create audience segments per market, and set up conversion events that can be filtered by locale. This allows you to compare conversion rates between your English, French, and German site versions directly within GA4 without needing to export and manually segment data.
We currently provide monthly executive summaries in English, French, Spanish, German, Dutch, Italian, and Portuguese. For other languages, we can arrange native-language production through our translation network.
